Bench Portrait

Bench Portrait.  Creating a space that is inspiring is such an important part of the process for me.  We have just returned form several weeks on the road at our fall/winter shows.  I am always so incredibly inspired after coming back from shows.  All the lights, the faces, the beautiful conversations and hands on reactions to my work....the sales.  When I come back to my bench it's always very clear what I should make next, how I should make it and where I want to go with my work.  However, I have forced myself to stay away from my bench since coming home and take these last two weeks off of making.  It's hard because I am so full of ideas but I know once I start I can't stop so I have to just let it be for a time.  I do keep looking over to my little work bench though......conspiring, dreaming, preparing, because lets be honest, the truth is I actually think about jewelry waaaaaay too much.
